TECHNOLOGY OF THE THORAX SSM

The Thorax Spine Support Module by ax-lightness is a spinal support with back guidance from the base of the pelvis to the shoulders and provides support when standing, sitting, walking and lifting.

The anatomical design ensures that all muscle groups are used in a targeted manner while providing maximum safety for the spine. A straight posture in all types of movement thus contributes to stabilisation.

The structure and design of our system actively stabilises the entire torso dynamically. The carbon frame ensures optimum load distribution when lifting and carrying heavy loads as well as when carrying rucksacks or other loads on the back. By actively guiding the spine in the system, rotational movements of the torso are dynamically controlled and the spine is protected from rotational damage. The muscles are stimulated to work actively, which results in significantly higher utilisation of the trunk muscles. The affected joints are particularly protected by the active system. The shoulder girdle, spine, pelvis and hips are subjected to an anatomical load, which leads to a better distribution of force and therefore a gentler posture.
