MATE-XB is a non-powered exoskeleton for relieving the muscles in the lumbar spine area for workers who have to move weights. It supports the user when working in different positions, e.g. when bending with the legs (squatting), bending forwards or lifting loads repeatedly. The device was developed to reduce the strain on the back during these activities and improve the user's quality of work.
